The skelligs are rocky islands off the southwest coast of Ireland. Skellig Michael hosts a UNESCO world heritage site, an ancient Christian monastery with unique "beehive" structures. Little Skellig has never had human settlement but tousands of sea birds live there. Portmagee is a small town on the mainland from which boats depart for tours to the Islands. Skellig Michael was used as a location in Star Wars Episode 7 and Episode 8.
